Artwork luggage

How I organize my luggage with artwork and hint about exhibitions

Very often people ask me what I bring in my luggage, and how I organize artwork and creative things together with my trip. Therefore, I wanted to explain it more here.

Usually, I am traveling just with a backpack or with hand luggage. I am not taking too many clothes, because I like to be functional, which means that my clothes are mostly universal and I can wear them on all occasions. Depending on how many days I stay, I always take more dresses if it's summer so I can save space. For artwork and creative things, I have a special separator beg and I bring just three main brushes, main colors plus black/white, and two more colors that depend on the place I am going.

If I am going on a summer holiday I am bringing more green, and turquoise shades and more cold pastel colors, because it's more likely that my artwork will be blue/green. My inspiration is usually the sea, so no doubt that those colors will prevail.

In autumn and spring, no matter where I go, I always bring more warm colors because I love to paint flowers, plants, and nature in her awakening period. According to that my artworks are usually very warm and inspirational.

Before I use to bring some mediums, but lately I am finding the mediums on the place where I am painting (ex. sand, stone, coffee, vine, salt, etc.)

And the last thing that is super important for artwork is canvas or paper. I like to paint on canvas, no matter if is it thin or thick. On the trip, I like to bring thin canvas, cause light and more pieces are fitting with no problem. There is always one notebook for the fast sketches, and a few pencils in case my arm wants some structure.

And of course, put in your luggage good will, a positive attitude, and openness for a lot of fun. Get out of your box, find inspiration in small things, and be creative in different ways and your artwork will be amazing for sure!

One small hint before the end is about my exhibitions. I have held exhibitions in Milano and Porto, and the next one should be in Lisbon. But before I say anything more about the next one, take a look at my exhibitions here.
